i dunno, i thought this was pretty interesting. as a surpise, like the alarm that plays modest mouse, i had to look. a person, jaime, i didnt know who yet, i didnt know but she had questions lined like cans on the fence. so i had to answer, i cant be silent sometimes:

we are the "ones who know nothing and just dont really give a damn." and we could do something about it if we'd wake up

minkleminer (7:48:39 PM): i beg to differ

---- (7:49:18 PM): how so?

---- (7:49:57 PM): i mean, you have right to your opinion, but i just.... think that..... after reading 1984 i was really freaked out for a while at how much alike the two worlds are

minkleminer (7:53:21 PM): i argue that we have attained CERTAIN aspects of oceania, but not completely. there is a hood over the media's collective vision..

minkleminer (7:53:35 PM): there is way to much personal information being shared

minkleminer (7:53:37 PM): true

minkleminer (7:54:04 PM): we have a bufoon as president, and chances are he will be there next january

minkleminer (7:55:20 PM): we kill people in the name of a faceless god, whose fury and vengeance are unsurpassed, but equaled by other copies of the diety.

minkleminer (7:55:27 PM): so on and so forth

minkleminer (7:55:31 PM): BUT

minkleminer (7:55:52 PM): where we separate is the intrinsic value that SOME people retain

minkleminer (7:56:33 PM): some people create a self actualization that cant be fabricated, or bottled, or injected between your toes

minkleminer (7:57:12 PM): and that natural, metacognitive thinking is in every person, the problem is that its the scarriest thing in the world

minkleminer (7:59:37 PM): that is an ancient idea, its much older than books or words, much older than the objective universe

minkleminer (7:59:48 PM): ie civilization

minkleminer (8:00:47 PM): it is innate to an extent, like smiling, the ability to 'enlighten' yourself is automatic

minkleminer (8:01:08 PM): civilizations, like the one in 1984 are PERFECt inhibitors

----(8:01:51 PM): perfect?

minkleminer (8:01:55 PM): because, the best things we do, the most amazing things we do -even if we feel they came from an outside source- are just products of our brain

minkleminer (8:02:19 PM): yes, the brain knows just how to stop itself from scary things

minkleminer (8:03:08 PM): big brother, the perfect drug, to make you numb and make you cold

minkleminer (8:03:10 PM): look :

minkleminer (8:03:29 PM): what does an anti depressant do? a pain reliever too?

minkleminer (8:03:42 PM): it stops neuron transmissions

minkleminer (8:04:51 PM): take it to a macroscopic scale and you have a person, acting out his role to control the emotions and fantasies of every human, by preventing them from transmitting them through the community

minkleminer (8:05:32 PM): and replacing the former with numb vodka, stale dreams of government chocolate, and the such

minkleminer (8:06:12 PM): we have not reached that point, albeit we see everyday that numb is becoming fashionable

minklnkleminer (8:08:18 PM): here, you can buy a condom with topical anaesthetic in it, you can fuck for hours but you dont feel a thing. thats the new life, if you choose it

minkleminer (8:09:34 PM): choosing is the sole difference between 2004, and 1984. its that simple and its the only solution.

call me an optimist if idiot is the first word y'all can think of
